We are convinced that all attending the event will enjoy the site at Rockelstad Castle, with it’s historival buildings an beautifulscenery. For the University event we will use four of the buildings preliminary:
The east wing has sleeping quarters, the big restaurant kitchen, a dining room as well as some common areas.
The guest rooms wing is mainly sleeping quarters with some common areas.
The yellow pavilion contains sleeping quarters, a normal sized kitchen with some restaurant appliances, a feast hall, a salon and an apartment on the upper floor which will be used as sleeping quarters. The feast hall opens up to a large deck with a view of the lake.
The dock house is situated down by the water and has a large informal dining room with adjoining kitchen on the ground floor and some sleeping quarters upstairs. Between the dock house and lake there is a large terrace. By the lake there is also a sauna with a relaxing room and a dock to go swimming from.
Sleeping quarters on the site are mostly in smaller rooms of both hotel and hostel style. There are ample toilets and showers available in all buildings
